Coach Kliner started teaching and coaching at El Modena in the 2004-2005 school year.

He took over the baseball program as head coach in 2008.

The program has won two league titles and made 7 playoff appearances during his tenure.

He previously coached at El Dorado working with infieders and hitters.

Prior to coaching, Kliner played high school baseball at Servite in Anaheim.

After redshirting at Cal State Fullerton, Coach Kliner played two seasons at Cypress College for Hall of Fame Coach Scott Pickler.

He was captain of the 1994 California State Championship at Cypress.

Coach Kliner then transferred to the University of Kansas and garnered 1st Team Division I All America honors as a second baseman in addition to Big Eight Player of the Year in 1996.

He played professionally in the Diamondbacks organization, Independent Leagues and in France.

Coach Kliner resides in Placentia with his wife Amy and daughters Mia (10) and Ava (8).

Jude Chavez enters his 16th season with the Vanguards. 

Coach Chavez starred as a player under the tutelage of legendary coaches  John Altobelli at OCC and Rex Peters at Chapman University.

 He was All-West Region and played in multiple World Series at Chapman.

Coach Chavez's role will be working primarily with the hitters and outfielders. Coach resides in Tustin with his wife Amy and two kids Jack (10) and Ava (8).

Current resident of the city of Orange works in Santa Ana,CA.

Coach Moeller started teaching at El Modena in 1999.

Coach Moeller played collegiately as a 3rd baseman and shortstop at Chapman University.

His Chapman team reached the 1996 DIII College World Series1995-1998.

At El Modena, coach Moeller has taught all levels of English, ran the Journalism department and coached wrestling.

He has coached all levels of baseball at Elmo since he arrived at the school.

Coach Moeller lives in Lake Forest with his wife Jaimee and his 10 year old daughter Grace.
