Local Farmers Insurance Agent
“Hits Homerun!”

Bob Ruddy, a Farmers Insurance agent in Tustin, recently “Hit a Homerun” by presenting a check for $500 to the El Modena Baseball program. The donation is part of the Farmers Insurance Community Sponsorship where an agent can apply to have $500 donated to a High School sports team of their choice.

Since Bob is known in the community as the “VOICE” of the El Modena Vanguards, it did not take him much time to figure out who he wanted the funds to go to.

Both of Bob’s sons went to El Modena and played in the baseball program. His oldest son, Anthony went on to graduate from USC in 2004 and his younger son, Bubba, will graduate from San Diego State in May 2009 after playing baseball for Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn. Bob spent 3 years as the booster club president for El Modena Baseball so he knows how important funds are to sports programs.
